Jeeva & Roj Roj Aankhon Tale

 Roj Roj Aankhon Tale is a song that comes to my mind when I think about the movie Jeeva. I recently saw this movie and wanted to share few observations.

"Aankhon par kuch aaise tumne Julf gira di hai, bechare se kuch khaboki nind uda diyi hai" 

This is the antara where playback singer Amit Kumar comes into the picture and it has become his signature song. The song appears two times in the movie. Sanjay Dutt pretends that he is getting married. He tells Mandakini that the would-be bride is selected by his mother. On that Mandakini gets nervous & tries to leave. He insists that he should see the picture of the bride who is equally beautiful as her. On the pretext of taking out a photograph from his pocket, he picks out a mirror and holds it in front of Mandakini's face. Mandakini looks in the mirror, sees herself, and smiles. At the same instance, we hear the flute piece and song starts. Gulzar and RD Burman has ensured that the situation gets justice.

In the end, Court announces 5 yrs imprisonment to Sanjay Dutt & after 5 yrs, we get to hear this song again. In a way it becomes euphoric moment for the audience.
